City of Miami to host ribbon cutting ceremony for pump station and beautification project

(Miami, FL October 10, 2018) – Mayor Francis Suarez, Commissioner Ken Russell and the Department of Resilience and Public Works will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Brickell pump station and beautification project on Friday, October 12 , 2018 at 9 a.m.

The Brickell pump station has dual submersible pumps capable of pumping up to 29,119 gallons per minute (gpm) which protects the businesses and residents of the area and improves the neighborhood’s quality of life.

The Brickell beautification project located within the median from SE 13th St to SE 11th St will include landscape improvements with the incorporation of trees, decorative vegetation, and the installation of irrigation with the ultimate goal of beautifying the neighborhood.
