The routes will be served by the airline’s A321 aircraft that seats 240 passengers or its A320 planes with 186 seats.
Mexico was MIA’s 2nd-largest international market in 2022, responsible for nearly 1.7 million passengers. Monterrey and Merida are both currently served by American Airlines at MIA. Based in Monterrey, Viva Aerobus started operations in 2006 and expects to operate 190 daily flights in 2024.
