Scotiabank announces strategic initiative with Mastercard Caribbean markets

Santo Domingo, DR Scotiabank announced the signing of an agreement with MasterCard for a period of seven years, which will aim to provide better digital experience to customers and new debit cards in four countries of the Caribbean: Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Barbados and Jamaica. This relationship will promote innovation in payments, focusing on the customer experience, as well as the growth and development of new value offers on different channels and devices.

The agreement will allow Scotiabank debit cardholders take advantage of innovative solutions 24/7, including advances in electronic commerce and digital wallets, with optimized security features, a new rewards platform and management of the lifecycle, among other improvements.
