Texas, USA- Hand in hand with Apple Vacations and important hotel chains, the Office of Tourism Promotion (OPT), of the Dominican Republic, carried out its customary caravan of promotion of the destination by the north and south of Texas, visiting More than 200 travel agencies.
The activity is part of the strategy of strengthening and developing this important market and its main objective is to educate travel agents about the popular Caribbean tourist destination.
This event was held in the city of Dallas, also covering Fort Worth and Arlington and the City of Houston. The work scheme consisted in the formation of teams to visit the assigned travel agencies. Additionally, 3 dinners were offered with the 150 Agents with the highest production of Apple Vacations, which were certified on the Dominican Republic.
During her presentation, Tracey Smith-Campbell, Regional Director of Apple Vacations, thanked the Ministry of Tourism for its support and announced the resumption of the Dallas-Punta Cana charter as of May 25, 2019 with 7 weekly frequencies throughout the summer. The director of the OPT Raquel Reyes German, said she was very satisfied with the receptivity and interest of travel agents in the destination, emphasizing that Punta Cana is fashionable among Texans.
