Updated Model Has New Topsides and a Host of Standard Fishing Features
Washington, N.C. – October 26, 2015 –The versatile Pro-Line 24 Bay has broad appeal, combining performance and fishing functionality with the ability to navigate in less than a foot of water. American fishing boat builder Pro-Line Boats, part of the Baja Marine group of boat manufacturers, has designed a totally new and improved deck and console for the 24 Bay’s proven hull, and will introduce the updated model at the 2015 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on November 5-9, 2015.
The 24 Bay is one of seven Pro-Line models to be showcased at the boat show’s Fort Lauderdale Convention Center location, Booth #2043. Other models on display at the show will include the 29 Grand Sport, 26 Super Sport, 26 Express, 23 Sport, 24 Bay, and the 20 Sport.
“The 24 Bay was a boat I really liked, even though we discontinued building bay boats at Pro-Line in 2012-2013,” said Johnny Walker, CEO of Baja Marine. “I consider the 2016 edition of the 24 Bay a new model because it has a redesigned deck and console, along with a lot of standard fishing features – the base-priced boat has everything you need to get out on the water and start catching fish.”
Those standard features include a bait well, rod holders, leaning post and even casting-net storage in the bow so you won’t drip water all over the place after catching fresh bait. A mechanical jackplate allows you to raise the motor for a draft of just 10 inches.
Optional features available for the 24 Bay include a T-top, hydraulic jackplate and an additional bait well.
“The boat runs 40 mph with a 150-horsepower engine,” Walker said. “You can go up to a 250-horsepower engine and that’s going to get you in the 60-mph range. This is the perfect boat for the Florida Keys or rivers and inland waterways.”
All single-engine outboard options for the Pro-Line 24 Bay are equipped with 25-inch shafts. The boat can be equipped with a Mercury Verado FourStroke 200hp or 250hp engine (for 47- to 60-mph top speed), a Suzuki four-stroke 150 (for 40-mph top speed) or a Suzuki 200 or 250. Other engine options are available as well.
