Delivery Proindustria Manufacturing Entrepreneur Award

SANTO DOMINGO.- With the purpose of promoting the development of the Industrial Manufacturing Sector, and covered by law 392-07 that creates the Center for Industrial Development and Competitiveness (PROINDUSTRIA), the Directorate of Support Services to Industry through the Incubation and Acceleration of Industries Division, presented the Industrial Manufacturing Entrepreneur Award in a first edition that promises to recognize the effort.

With a ceremony held at the Taboo Bamboo restaurant, headed by the Director General of Proindustria, Architect Alma Fernández, representatives of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, entrepreneurs, Proindustrial officials and special guests, the three winning places were presented and recognized of this delivery.

Under the category “Projects aimed at the Manufacturing Industry”, they were chosen: in the first place the Caribé Juice Project, in the second, the MoldEX Exact Molds Project, and the third was for Corporate Identification Keychains and Seasonal Promotions. They received as seed capital respectively, RD $ 300,000, RD $ 200,000 and RD $ 100,000, in addition to receiving guidance, training, training and access to a network of national contacts.

During the delivery, Fernández stressed that this award is designed with the purpose of encouraging and supporting the entrepreneurial sector, focused on the development of manufacturing projects that contribute to the growth of the sector through the creation of integral solutions with functional business models. .

“We have great expectations with this award; We believe that it will be able to help entrepreneurs, providing them with economic resources that can lighten their load, and encourage them to travel the path they have undertaken with less impediments and difficulties, ”he added.

In this first Prize, 17 projects were registered, seven of which reached the final stage. They were evaluated individually by the designated jury, composed of renowned personalities, with high levels of knowledge in the formation of companies, entrepreneurship and project analysis.
