Miami International Auto Show Opens October 5th

The 48th annual Miami International Auto Show will open its 9-day run at the newly-renovated Miami Beach Convention Center on Friday, October 5th and close its doors on Saturday, October 13th.

“South Floridians are extremely excited to once again check-out the industry’s newest autos and advances in technology,” said Rick Baker, auto show manager. “We expect many automotive manufacturers will be planning to unveil their vehicles here in Miami because South Florida remains among the nation’s leading markets in car and truck sales.”

Considered among America’s top five auto shows, the Miami show is expected to showcase several hundred new cars, crossovers and SUV’s from the major manufacturers.

As of now, the Miami International Auto Show will feature major debuts of the Genesis 2019 G70 and the Essentia Concept and Toyota’s 2019 RAV4 among others.

A number of auto manufacturers including Nissan, Ford, Toyota, Lexus, Ram, Mazda and Mopar are planning announcements in Miami during the auto show’s Media Day on October 5th. Hundreds of national and international journalists are expected to attend the Media Day activities which will be held prior to the public opening.

Havana Classics, the nostalgic collection of autos from Havana of yesteryear, showcases many of an era’s most popular vehicles including a 1958 Mercedes-Benz 300d and 1959 MG-A among others.

A 2018 Nissan Kicks, the newest nameplate in Nissan’s lineup of cars, trucks and SUVs, will be given away to one lucky auto show visitor following the show.

Show attendees can take a drive along the most picturesque roadways of Miami Beach in their favorite new cars and trucks from Toyota, Chevy, Volkswagen, Mazda, Nissan or Cadillac at the auto show’s Ride-n-Drives.

The auto show is presented by the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association which comprises more than 190 dealerships in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe counties making it larger than some state-wide auto dealer groups.

Admission to the show is $15 for adults, $6 children ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under. $2.00 discount tickets are available at participating new car dealerships, McDonald Restaurants and on the auto show’s website.
